About the event
This workshop is designed to help you build a fashion portfolio that is clear, focused and easy to understand, whether you are applying for jobs, internships, freelance work or further study. Many portfolios fail not because the work is weak, but because it is overfilled, unclear or difficult to navigate.
This session focuses on making intentional choices about what to include, how to present your work and how to tailor your portfolio for different opportunities.
You will learn how to:
Decide which projects to include and which to leave out
Understand how many projects are actually enough
Structure each project so it tells a clear story
Present process without overwhelming the viewer
Make your portfolio easy to scan and understand quickly
You will gain clarity on:
Online portfolios vs physical portfolios and when each is appropriate
Whether you actually need a website, and what it should contain
How much detail is too much for recruiters and clients
How to present 3D, digital and experimental work clearly
Common portfolio mistakes that weaken otherwise strong work
By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear framework for building or refining a cohesive fashion portfolio that communicates your skills confidently and professionally, without unnecessary complexity.
